Karen's Homemade Zesty Ranch Sauce and Dressing
So much better than store-bought! Whisk these ingredients together – for a sauce… add some lemon juice for a dressing

Servings: 20 1 T. servings; makes 1 1/4 cups
1 medium sized bowl
1 whisk
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2/3 cups mayonnaise (preferably without natural flavoring)
- 1/4 cup greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons scallions cleaned and dried, minced - whites & greens
- 1/4 teaspoon jalapeño minced (a little more if you like spicy)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley leaves cleaned and dried - minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic peeled and finely grated, or minced
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon pure cane sugar
- 3 tablespoons aged gouda cheese coarsely grated
For Zesty Ranch Dressing:
Whisk in a few tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, start with 2 tablespoons.

Chopped fresh chives can be added to the final Ranch too.
