Berries with Mint and Limoncello Syrup



A simple way of infusing flavor into berries. Great served with my Lemon Tart.


  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup strawberries, cleaned, hulled, sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
  • 2 teaspoons limoncello liquor, or lemon vodka


Place cleaned berries in a medium sized bowl. In a small skillet, heat the water and sugar until boiling, reduce heat to a simmer.
Simmer for 2 – 3 minutes. Cut mint leaves into thin slivers. Add to the syrup. Press down with a wooden spoon to release the mint flavor. Take off heat. Add limoncello, cool slightly.

Pour over the berries to macerate and refrigerate at least one hour.
Or, pass the syrup to your guests to drizzle over the berries.
